I don’t think I need to stress how much I adore breakfast anymore. I especially like a sweet breakfast on weekends when I don’t have to hurry, so I pamper myself and enjoy without rushing. I have been faithful to the basic recipe for waffles since I have a waffle maker. You can sprinkle waffles with powdered sugar, serve with seasonal fruits, Greek yogurt and honey, coat with your favorite jam, pour over chocolate sauce, make salty waffles with bacon and cheese, … Only imagination is the limit.

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 360 ml of milk

  • a pinch of salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 60 ml of oil

  • 170 g Schar Mix B flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Using a whisk, beat the eggs with the sugar. Stir in milk, salt, vanilla extract and oil. Add flour and baking powder and mix well. Let the mixture stand for 15 minutes, during which time heat the waffle maker. Bake the waffles according to the waffle maker’s instructions. Enjoy!
