Butter Tea

Years ago when I was hiking the Annapurna circuit in Nepal, I was introduced to yak butter tea. I drank it everyday because it was delicious, it kept me warm and there was always some made. My Butter Tea is filled with healthy fat and protein to get your day started off right.

Ingredients
  • 1 c water
  • 2 tbsp full fat coconut milk Buy it
  • 1 heaping tsp black tea
  • 1 tsp clarified butter
  • 1 tsp refined coconut oil Buy it
  • 1/2 tsp Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Buy it
  • Pinch Himalayan pink salt

Primal Recipe Tester Butter Tea
Instructions
  1. Add tea to a reusable tea bag and put in a pint sized Mason jar.
  2. Boil water then pour into Mason jar, cover with a small plate and let steep for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove tea then add the rest of the ingredients, tightly cover Mason jar with lid and shake for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour into a mug and enjoy.
